After some family time and the wedding (I’ll comme back to this later on), we had the chance to join Lisa and Stewart for a few days in their beautiful holiday home in Twizel.

From there on and thanks to their patient touristy skills, we visited all the emblematic places of the southern part of the South island and its lakes, each more beautiful than the next.

They even took their boat with them, so we had a go at fishing and had some fun on the « biscuit ».

We intended to go back home through the west coast but luckily changed our minds as some quite nasty storms came out and the all area was completely flooded.

We ended up in Oamaru instead, on the east coast, and had the chance to watch a yellow eyed pinguin quietly walking around the beach for us.

A visit at the famous Steam Punk museum and some take away later, we made our way back home, stopping in Timaru on our day to have a feel of a swim in the Chilly pacific water.
